The conservatory boasts many plant species from around the globe from all different types of environments. The orchid room, from which this photo is taken, has several different species of orchid. It was very hard to photograph in the orchid room due to the tight quarters and the amount of people who were walking through it. Eventually I became frustrated and left. The conservatory is celebrating it`s 75 year in 2008. 6mm, 1/500 sec., f/3.1, ISO 64. Kodak Z812 IS. Slight photoshop editing.

I set my camera to auto and used auto focus. with one hand, I half pressed the shutter to focus and turned the tap on slowly with my other hand. nd this was the result. overall i was really pleased as there was no need to edit it as it came like this.

They just called to me to come photograph them! The scarry looking spider was just sunbathing in the middle of this flower. He would have been hard to see if he had been on a petal.

This was taken in my parent`s front yard in Belleville, Ontario. I used my tripod and the macro setting on my camera. This picture has to be my favourite. I did not use any photo editing software.
